Commercial Drone Services in Orlando & Central Florida

Commercial Drone Services · Orlando, FL

Commercial drone work that holds up on the job site

We fly roof and infrastructure inspections, LiDAR and orthomosaic mapping, construction documentation, drone photography, and aerial video. Every job is run by an FAA certified, fully insured pilot based in downtown Orlando, and you walk away with files your team can actually put to work.

FAA Part 107 Certified Fully Insured Statewide Florida coverage
Commercial Drone Company in Central Florida

Built on 25 years in hospitality, not just aviation

Drew Tanski spent 25 years in Orlando hospitality and property management before he became a certified UAV pilot and started Leading Edge Drones. That history still shows up in how we work. We treat your project like a client account, not a flight log. We arrive ready, keep you in the loop, and hand back files you can use.

The work itself is commercial grade: roof and infrastructure inspections, LiDAR and orthomosaic mapping, construction documentation, and drone photography and video. An FAA Part 107 certified, insured pilot runs every flight, and we sort out the airspace authorizations so you never have to.

Our office sits downtown at 100 E Pine Street. We cover Central Florida and the rest of the state, and the work ranges from a single Orlando roof one week to a multi-site construction portfolio the next.

Why Clients Trust Us

You’ll deal with the owner, not a call center

Drew sits down with you one-on-one before a flight is ever booked. Most projects do not fit neatly into a package, so we would rather talk through what you need to capture and scope it honestly than sell you a template.

From there it stays simple. Certified, insured pilots. Airspace authorizations handled on our end. Deliverables sent back in the formats your team already uses, whether that is an inspection report, a point cloud, a measurable orthomosaic, or finished media.

What Sets Us Apart

A few reasons clients keep calling us back

Subject-matter-expert pilots

The person flying your job knows the industry it serves, whether that is roofing, construction, telecom, or hospitality. You are not getting a generalist who happens to own a drone.

Certified & fully insured

Every flight is FAA Part 107 certified and backed by commercial liability insurance. We carry the authorizations so your site stays compliant.

Built for commercial use

Reports, point clouds, measurable maps, and finished media. Everything is scoped for how your team actually works and returned in the formats you already use.

A real conversation first

We start with a one-on-one consultation, not an online order form. If a project does not fit a standard package, we will say so and scope it properly.

Where We Operate

Florida-based, with national deployment for the right project

Orlando and Central Florida are our home base, and that is where we go deepest. From there we cover the strongest commercial markets across the state, including Tampa and Clearwater, Sarasota and Bradenton, Naples and Fort Myers, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Jacksonville. Being local matters: we know the airspace, the permitting, and the conditions that affect a flight here.

For larger work, we are a Florida-based commercial drone company with national deployment available for select LiDAR, mapping, construction documentation, inspection, specialty documentation, and aerial media projects. We do not chase small jobs out of state, but when the scope justifies mobilizing, we travel.

Questions, Answered

Frequently asked questions

What areas does Leading Edge Drones serve?
We are based in Orlando and work throughout Central Florida, including Winter Park, Kissimmee, Lakeland, Sanford, and the wider I-4 corridor. We take on projects statewide across Florida, and we travel for larger regional and national jobs when the scope makes sense.
Are your drone pilots FAA certified and insured?
Yes. Every flight is conducted by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot, and we carry commercial drone liability insurance. We also handle airspace authorizations and flight planning so your site stays compliant.
What’s the difference between orthomosaic mapping and drone LiDAR?
Orthomosaic mapping stitches hundreds of overlapping photos into one measurable, geo-referenced image, which is ideal for site plans, area measurement, and progress documentation. Drone LiDAR uses a laser sensor to capture dense 3D point clouds and can read ground elevation even through light vegetation, so it suits topographic surveys and civil engineering deliverables better. We will recommend the right approach for your project.
Can you inspect a roof or infrastructure without shutting down operations?
In most cases, yes. Drone inspections let us document roofs, towers, and other hard-to-reach assets from the air, with no scaffolding, lifts, or stopping work on site. That cuts both cost and safety risk compared with traditional access methods.
How accurate is your drone mapping data?
We capture survey-grade data using ground control points and RTK/PPK workflows where the project calls for it, and we deliver in the formats your engineers and surveyors already use, so the data drops straight into your existing workflow.
How do I get a quote, and how fast is turnaround?
Send us your site location, scope, and the deliverable you need through the quote form and we’ll respond within one business day. Turnaround depends on the dataset, but most standard inspection and mapping deliverables are returned within a few business days of the flight.
